Marie Pampoen is not only a charming beach in the neighborhood of the same name in Willemstad, but also a gateway to a breathtaking underwater world. Whether you are an experienced diver or a beginner, a guided dive at Marie Pampoen offers a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the Caribbean Sea.
Marie Pampoen, located on the southern coast of Curaçao, offers more than just a place for local children's swimming lessons. Once you swim out of the bay and descend, you will be greeted by a fascinating drop-off that takes you to a world full of underwater wonders. A guided dive here is an adventure you don't want to miss
The highlight of a guided dive at Marie Pampoen is undoubtedly the car pile. This artificial reef, composed of car wrecks, metal beams, and even a small shipwreck, is a spectacular sight. It provides shelter for a variety of marine life, including lionfish, tarpons, and moray eels. The car pile begins at approximately 15 meters deep and extends beyond 40 meters, making it a perfect location for both shallow and deep dives
